Lowbrook Academy’s latest development, an Interactive Learning Environment (ILE), was completed last term. The former library and ICT suite has been completely redesigned and transformed into an innovative and multi-purpose environment for both the pupils and teaching staff to utilise throughout the school day.
“We are delighted to have created such a flexible learning space at the heart of our school,” explains Miss Iasi. “This unique learning area represents the high standards we continue to strive towards at Lowbrook with furnishings including a boardroom style table for teachers and pupils to work at, a lounge-style area, a quiet reading zone and a high top wooden bar as an additional breakout area.”
This large, bright and airy space is now fully operational and is being enjoyed by both staff and pupils alike who have been making full use of their versatile new learning environment, whether it be for quiet one to one reading, class group work or for staff training.
Local Councillor, Paul Brimacombe, described our new area as providing: “Essential life skills offered in an innovative way to capture the imagination of the children. Outstanding!”
